pieces of carla
the end is near! i have finished knitting all of the pieces of Carla and i am seaming her together now. with the exception of the wacky decreases and figuring out the finishing on the sleeves (see below) this was a really fun and easy project. i would love to have her finished so that i can wear her today, but that seems unlikely. for the rest of the month i plan on completing projects already in progress, Tom Tom especially. who knows? i may even finish Tasty. i want to complete the finishing on the koigu coat, so that i can wear it in the fall. and i have my sights set on a new koigu project that i'll probably begin in september.

i am sure that there will be several different versions. i found the finishing instructions to be incredibly vague. a combination of knitter's intuition and the advice of those who have already tackled this issue contributed to my interpretation. here's a closeup:

Your Carla looks great! Carla is in my future... I bought the book from Rowan but have not had the chance to order the yarn. I have a lot of other WIPs right now!

Now I have a dilemma.
Just scooped up a bunch of the Cotton Tape from purl and can't decide to do Carla or a different sweater from the book.
